Chesley Homecoming Town Beautification Contest

To celebrate the 145th anniversary of our town’s incorporation, we’re hosting a special competition! We encourage all residents to spruce up their homes, gardens, and businesses and to create festive displays that showcase their hometown pride.
Registration Fee: $25 per Category
Includes one homecoming bow.
Homeowner Categories Cash Prizes:
- 1st Place: $100
- 2nd Place: $50
- 3rd Place: $25
Business Category:
- Winners will receive trophy recognition.
Entries from Chesley and the country roads surrounding it accepted
Registration
Please deliver your registration form in a sealed envelope along with cash payment or a cheque payable to Chesley Homecoming to Remax Grey Bruce, 63 1st Ave S, Chesley (after hours drop box available) For alternative payment options, please contact beautificationcontest@gmail.com.
Deadline to Enter is June 1st, 2025
Contest will be judged mid-July with winners announced July 25th.
Homecoming Bows
Homecoming bows will be available for purchase at Remax Grey Bruce, APC Bruce Service Sales and Rentals, and at Homecoming pop-up shops while supplies last. Bows will be sold for $12. Cash or Cheque accepted. Contest entry is not required to purchase a bow.

The following categories will be judged using these criteria
Most Attractive Home
- Overall curb appeal
- Landscaping judged only from the street view
- Originality
- Appearance of home façade
Most Attractive Garden
- Visual Impact
- Overall Maintenance
- Originality of materials and design
- Hard Elements including fences, furniture, walkways and décor
Ready for Homecoming
- This category is for residences that have decorated on a homecoming theme
- Use of Homecoming colours (red, yellow, and black) and/or theme “My Heart, My Home Town”
- Originality
- Visual Impact
Most Attractive Business
- This category is for businesses only and will be judged through a community voting process
- Use of Homecoming colours
- Originality
- Visual Impact
Disclaimer
By participating in the Homecoming Beautification Contest, you agree to allow the judges to visit your property and photograph it for the purposes of promoting the Chesley Homecoming. You also agree that if you win a Beautification Award, your name and address may be released to the public for the purpose of publicly recognizing the winners.
Photographs of each entry will be displayed at Homecoming, July 30 – Aug 3 2025
